Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been published before; that it is not under consideration for publication anywhere else; that its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any. Submissions should emphasis original research and technological developments covering methodologies as well as applications in the main areas of research as artificial intelligence, and information sciences. 

Publication Ethics

Submission of an article implies that the work is original work that has neither appeared in, nor is under consideration by, other journals. Also, each submitted article is scanned for plagiarism, including similarity to an author’s own work. If the Similarity Score is more than 25%, the paper will not be considered for review and will be rejected.

Publication Fees

A publication fee is charged for all articles that are accepted for publication in the Egyptian Journal of Artificial Intelligence (E.  J. AI). Authors must pay publication fees of 1500 L.E (For Egyptian authors) under 15 single-spaced pages with 12-point font-size. Authors will pay 50 L.E for each extra page. The publication fee for foreign authors is 100 USD. The journal also has wavier policies.  

Article Submission

• Authors should submit their papers electronically by the online submission system. For detailed steps of submission, see the Author Guide Video.
• Authors can track the status of Manuscript after submission via the online submission system.
• Authors should try to keep the length of the paper (including figures) under 15 single-spaced pages.
• All papers should be written in English. Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB) provides scientific editing service for English-language in partnership with specialized editors free of charge for Egyptian researchers by sending the MS along with an official letter from the institute for more information https://www.ekb.eg/web/guest/details .

Title Page

Please make sure your title page contains the following information.

Title

The title should be concise and informative.

Author information

• The name(s) of the author(s)
• The affiliation(s) of the author(s)
• A clear indication and an active e-mail address of the corresponding author

Abstract

Please provide an abstract of 150 to 250 words. The abstract should not contain any undefined abbreviations or unspecified references.

Keywords

Please provide 4 to 6 keywords which can be used for indexing purposes.

Text should be typed in 12pt Times New Roman font on A4 sheets, single spacing, single column format, margins 1.18’’ above and 1.46’’below, 0.65’’ on the right and the left. The header and the footer must be set to 0.79’’ and 1.06’’ respectively from the edge of the page.

Peer Review Process 

All contributions will be initially reviewed by the editor for suitability for the journal. Papers considered suitable are then typically sent to at least two independent expert reviewers to assess the scientific quality of the paper. The Editor solely has the right to take the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of articles.

Copyright

Upon acceptance of an article, authors will be asked to fill in the copyright form, sign it and then send it with the final manuscript.
